This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Flattery laced with critiques will get you anywhere with me man! Lol. So I will make an icon for you, since I see you are still icon-less. Don't worry, I'll take more time and effort on it than I did on mine. Just tell me what you want on/in it and it will be done! Boo ha ha. Thanks for all your great comments. I think you should do more stuff on DevArt though, 'cause you're really talented and should be recognized! So there!
Not so much flattery as honest appreciation. Let's face it, drawing, art in-general is tough. That's why the world isn't teeming with Wyeths or Munchs or Eschers or... Well, you get the idea. All of your works show a high level of pen-skill and always entertain my eyes with texture, shade, and life.
If you find the time, yes, I'd love to use an icon of your creation. I'm kinda busy lately-- work and personal stuff -- so I haven't done a lot of drawing. I'm trying to learn Blender (a free 3D app for unix/linux) so that I can create 3D models and pose them in 3D environments by the whims of my imagination and sense of composition. Maybe by the summer I'll have a nice 3D picture of the heroine from my Russian Alternate History novel-attempt. She's going to have a distinctive face (kinda rat-nosed, but not comical-- a challenge to draw 'just right') and she'll have some great environments to be set into (like steam-tunnels and crowded markets.) I'm getting ahead of myself though. I still have to learn how to make a cube in Blender, let alone a 3D figure with textured skin, eyes, clothes, etc... Lots to learn.
Aw, thanks. And I think it'll be hard, but it'll be worth it. I would love to see 3D stuff by you. I think the crowded markets will be alot harder than the tunnel, but that's just me. I wish you luck. It's okay about being busy, I know how it is. Okay, if you have any preferences about your icon thn tell me. I'll start working on it as soon as I can. Much love.
Dude, don't say that! It isn't going to an art school or fancy systems that makes you an artist. You are an artist, don't let anyone (including yourself) tell you otherwise. I don't say this just because of your line art, I also say it because of your writing. Isn't writing just using the human mind as a part of your medium? What I'm trying to say is that writers are artists and vice versa. I think you can go really far with your talents. Also, someone who can illustrate for their own books can make a lot of moolah! :3

Since I'm not an artist, I take that as a huge compliment
I'm just dabbling with line-drawing in an attempt to stimulate my creativity for writing.
Thanks again,
